Tool Share Studio is a makerspace providing you with all the inspiration and DIY tools you need to bring your magical ideas to life. Whether you are a (closet) designer, inventor, artist, home DIY’er or a small business, come to us with your project idea, either whole or incomplete, and we will help you make it.
You get access to a wide range of shared tools, ample workspace, technical advice, hands-on assistance, and storage, enabling you to design, prototype, and make beautiful objects. We have the facilities to assist you in woodwork, metalwork, assembly, finishing, sewing, upholstery, and arts & crafts (including mosaics, picture framing, drawing, painting), as well as a network of like-minded, awesome people who can motivate and support you.
You don’t need to have all the skills - you can learn through practical short courses which aim to provide you with hands-on experience in your area of interest. Or, if you don’t have the inclination to make it yourself, we can get your dream item made for you by one of the small businesses being developed through the Tool Share incubator. We are mindful of the environment and see “waste” as a foundation for great ideas – never mind as cost-effective input materials. We strongly encourage upcycling and repurposing wherever feasible, and use recycled materials in the relevant training courses.

‘ Not only was it just as much fun for me as the parent as it was for my child but I learnt to use a drill which which I had never even considered trying!’

James – Young Maker – ‘To quote James, he says it’s fun, useful and great for using your hands. He also says it’s nice for spending quality time with a parent or other family member.’
